Gruppo Corpi Plastici is a group founded in the early 1960s by Sergio Anelli, Piero Bolla and Lorenzo Griotti, which became internationally famous in just a few years. These three artists rethink contemporary design on the criteria of clarity and simplicity, with interlocking geometries and a constant use of polychrome, brightly coloured perspex.

This is how Gio Ponti described their art in Domus as 'Shining elementary geometry, cylinders spheres cones, which make them poetically immediate images in the modern world'.

"The easy reducibility to a geometric scheme - or projection -, the communicative vocation, therefore the need for a clear reading, the condition of "consumption", are the characteristics of the structure of plastic bodies [...] The structure of plastic bodies is not an end in itself: it is co-participant and identifies with the environment. If it is placed in an environment, it can provide an aesthetic utility of consumption, i.e. not only of possession, and of condition, as the "guiding object" of a new problematic of contemporary man' (from the text).
