Jasper Johns' series ''The Seasons'', four canvases that the artist executed between the summer of 1985 and the winter of 1986, was originally presented by the great American art dealer Leo Castelli in February 1987. Exhibited in 1988 at the Venice Biennale, ''The Seasons'' won the Golden Lion for Painting.
