"In these drawings that we now present, the stroke is always lively and, in its fleetingness, controlled. Some are childhood memories, a landscape with the dry roughness of Maremma houses, spontaneous and inventive; others are sketches of oxen and horses made in Maremma or in San Siro where Cesetti spent his brief leisure time in Milan; others are rural scenes of Maremma, memories of Cesetti as a shepherd; others are more recent and the portraits are from 1936-37' (from Cardazzo's text)
