GILBERTO ZORIO, a volume published by MAMbo - Museo d'Arte Moderna di Bologna and CGAC - Centro Galego de Arte Contemporánea in Santiago de Compostela documents the solo exhibitions of Gilberto Zorio hosted by the two institutions between autumn 2009 and summer 2010. Inside, an unpublished text by Zorio metaphorically links the two exhibition spaces, whose geographical distance - 2,070 km - becomes the title of the artist's text. The maps of the MAMbo and the CGAC (silkscreen printed on glossy paper) are also united by the plan of the Torre Stella, Zorio's symbolic work and the fulcrum around which the exhibitions in the two museums have unfolded.

The publication is extremely rich: quadrilingual (Italian, Galician, Spanish, English), with a total of 396 pages, it includes 169 large illustrations including 20 previously unpublished works by Gilberto Zorio, enclosed in a precious binding with a 3-panel cover and phosphor screen-printed title. Divided into sections introduced by previously unpublished works and writings by the artist, the catalogue retraces the main themes and materials of his research: the star, the canoe, the javelin, the voltaic arc, crucibles, the Pyrex ampoule, Dalmine tubes, microphones and lights. The volume is completed by an introductory essay by curator Gianfranco Maraniello, an unpublished text by Gilberto Zorio, and institutional introductions by Lorenzo Sassoli de Bianchi (President of MAMbo), Roberto Varela Fariña (Councillor for Culture and Tourism of the Xunta de Galicia).
