In 1962, he formed Gruppo Uno with Gastone Biggi, Nicola Carrino, Nato Frascà, Achille Pace and Pasquale Santoro, for a social role in art. He began the 'ferrocementi' series and the 'strutturaespazio' series.
His numerous solo and group exhibitions include those at Palazzo Re Enzo in ologna; the Galleria del Cavallino in Venice; the Galleria di Christian Stein in Turin and his participation in the Quadriennali in Rome and the Venice Biennials. Uncini's latest work is 'Epistylium' (2007 - 2009), a reinforced concrete sculpture, over six metres high, created for an open-air exhibition space at the MART in Rovereto
