At the Origins of a Myth at the Palazzo Reale in Milan exhibited through 100 works the entire career of the Austrian artist: from his formative years with his applied art studies at the Institute of Art and Craft to those of the Viennese Secession (1897), which advocated an artistic renewal, and concluding with the reconstruction of the famous Beethoven Frieze (1902). The exhibition was realised in collaboration with the Belvedere Museum in Vienna, and is curated by one of the most famous Klimt scholars, Alfred Weidinger.
