Cm 21x21, pp. 80 n.n. Brossura (wrappers) Ottimo (Fine)Vettor Pisani, born in Bari on 14 June 1935, was one of the most cultured and enigmatic artists on the Italian art scene of his time. His artistic activity spanned sculpture, installation, photography and performance. He made his debut in 1965 at the La Salita gallery with his first solo exhibition, Studi su Marcel Duchamp (Studies on Marcel Duchamp). In 1970, he won the Pino Pascali Prize awarded by the National Gallery of Modern Art.
He participated in numerous important international exhibitions, such as Documenta 5, Kassel 1972; the Venice Biennales of 1972, 1976, 1978, 1984, 1986, 1990, 1993 and 1995; the São Paulo Biennale in Brazil in 1979; the Paris Biennials in 1971, 1973 and 1985; the National Quadrennials in 1973, 1986 and 1992; significant monographic exhibitions such as the one at the Sala Parpallo in Valencia in 1990; Italy two. Art around '70, at the Museum of Civic Centre in Philadelphia in 1973; Rencontre internationale ouverte de vidéo, Espace Pierre Cardin, Paris 1975; Settimana Internazionale della Performance, Galleria d'Arte Moderna, Bologna 1977; Avanguardia/Transavanguardia '68-77, Rome 1982; Italian Art Now: an American Perspective at the Guggenheim Museum in New York; Arte Italiana 1960-1982 at the Hayward Gallery in London and many others.
