A journey inside Ugo Nespolo's studio portrayed in Gianni Berengo Gardin's black and white photographs. Ugo Nespolo made his debut on the Italian art scene in the 1960s. Experimental, artist's cinema later became another of his effective means of expression: exhibitions of his films were organised by cultural institutions such as the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris, the Philadelphia Museum of Modern Art, the National Museum of Cinema in Turin and other internationally important institutions. The 1980s constitute the heart of the 'American period' and Nespolo's experiences in the field of applied art also date from these years.
