Elio Ciol (Casarsa della Delizia, 3 March 1929) is an Italian photographer. From 1955 to 1960 he was active in the photographic circle "La Gondola" in Venice In 1962 he participated as a set photographer in the film "Gli Ultimi" by Vito Pandolfi and Father David Maria Turoldo. He has held about 120 solo exhibitions and about as many group exhibitions in Italy and abroad. His works have been exhibited in international art galleries in New York, Paris, London and Moscow. He has collaborated with major publishing houses and has over two hundred photographic volumes to his credit.  Many of his photographs can be found in private collections and public institutions, such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. In December 2001, the New York Times dedicated a space to him in its Arts and Leisure section.
