From Roberta Valtorta's presentation: 'If there is an art thanks to which it is possible to carry out iterative tests starting from sensible reality, which allows continuous verification of perception and offers comparisons between past and present ways of being in the world, this is photography. It is not only the art of looking but, if practised thoroughly as a true discipline, also the art of returning and comparing. Art of insistence, we might say. When photography then looks at places, its vocation to construct experience through repetition becomes a necessity'.
