Using archive documents, interview excerpts and freshly taken photographs, Beeckman paints a composite portrait of the various elements that revolve around the life of a football team, in which the players and fans play the main roles. As is generally the case in his practice, photography alone is not enough, so texts and graphic elements are repeated to give a layered view of the subject he is portraying. The result is a kind of vernacular archaeology, made up of decomposable fragments that overlap in a visual din that echoes the background noise that surrounds stadiums.
