Milena Milani is a Ligurian writer who, far from Liguria, has remained attached, however, to the ‘sea' or rather to the saline and airy character of a certain landscape without adjectives but all directly inserted into the words and evocation of the characters that make it up. In ‘L'estate' there is a continuous discovery, for the writer, of physical things: the hands of the girl holding her delicate skin, the body of the young boys diving, the rain of the first story ‘Ieri sera' (from the cover).
