‘The inside pages of the daily newspapers are dedicated to commentary and in-depth analysis, sometimes allowing for the most indolent and hasty kind of journalism: the interview. You go up to a politician, an executive, an expert on something, throw a few questions at them, record the whole thing and sign off on the reports [... I have been collecting, selecting, and sometimes simply transcribing (with modest additions of irony and supplements of sarcasm) such reports based on interviews and conversations since the turn of the last century - of the millennium - in order to read them in the course of what today, with a term that is not exactly pleasant but fashionable, is called ‘performances' [...]. ...] These concise texts with the semblance of the mini-narrative, of the micro-narrative, now propose to go the extra mile by jumping from the fickle and precarious season of orality to the more stable and definite season of print'.
